Fiat Professional
At Eicma 2023 in style
After the success of 2022, Fiat Professional participates in Eicma 2023 by also exhibiting Ducato and E-Scudo, both 100% electric and set up specifically for two-wheel fans. On the stand also Vanni Oddera
For the second year running, Fiat Professional is taking part in Eicma with its range of vehicles equipped for two-wheel enthusiasts.
Increasingly indispensable partners and used by motorcyclists, cyclists and operators in the sector, LCVs now represent the "four-wheelers" most appreciated by lovers of "two wheels". An unmissable occasion, therefore, for FIAT PROFESSIONAL, which on stand B58 (hall 18) is exhibiting the E-Ducato and E-Scudo models, both set up in collaboration with partner Order System. The solutions adopted are made of aluminium, ensuring a high level of lightness, easy assembly and customisable modular modules capable of fully exploiting the load compartment of the commercial vehicle, as well as being completely recyclable.
It should be noted that the E-Ducato on display at EICMA is part of the new generation of FIAT PROFESSIONAL LCVs, featuring new powertrains, a new design, new connectivity systems, and next-generation ADAS to support the businesses of the future with innovative, sustainable and electric mobility solutions. The debut of the new 2024 range took place just a few weeks ago at the Stellantis Proving Ground in Balocco (VC), during the 'Stellantis Commercial Vehicle Ambition Day' event, which marked a milestone in Stellantis' strategic plan and an ideal opportunity to reveal the strategy and ambitions of the Commercial Vehicle Business Unit, along with the revamped C-Van, D-Van, and E-Van product line of all brands.
Specifically, the E-Ducato vehicle on display at EICMA features an all-aluminium motorbike transport set-up that includes a bench, a drawer unit with shelf, a full-height suit and helmet locker, a spare wheel compartment, an uphill chute and two stands for safely securing the motorbikes. In addition, the new E-Ducato features an in-house designed electric version equipped with a new 110 kWh battery that ensures a zero-emission experience at the top of its category, thanks to an autonomy of up to 370 km for N1 category vehicles (up to 420 km for N2 category vehicles with speed limited to 90 km/h), a 0 to 80% recharge in less than an hour guaranteed by its 150 kW battery charger, making the new E-Ducato one of the best performing vehicles in its category.
In addition, the propulsion system features a new powertrain capable of delivering up to 200 kW of power (270 hp) combined with 410 Nm of full torque. The charging system is also completely new and features two standard on-board chargers capable of accepting up to 11 kW AC or up to 150 kW DC for fast battery charging in just 55 minutes.
Incidentally, the Ducato is the van used daily by Vanni Oddera, freestyle motocross professional, inventor of Mototherapy and Ambassador of Stellantis Autonomy. Guest of excellence and representative of 'two wheels', Vanni Oddera will be present at EICMA for Meet & Greets with the public, where he will tell his story and the advantages of having a Fiat Professional vehicle at his side.
The spotlight will also be on E-Scudo, which is the perfect partner for transporting bikes from wilderness areas to restricted traffic zones. The Fiat Professional stand will feature some electric and downhill bikes by Jonny Livorti, former MTB professional, now art director & film maker. In detail, the E-Scudo on display is equipped with a small chest of drawers with two shelves for storing the biker's clothing and accessories, fastenings for transporting bicycles, and roof bars. On the latter is an AIRTOP 360° Medium Black Storm tent made by the company Auto Home, with a fibreglass shell, two-stage opening with gas springs, designed for two adults and equipped with eight light openings, a blackout mosquito net and thermal insulation that allows use even in extreme weather conditions. A reference point in its category for robustness, versatility and driving pleasure, the E-Scudo is equipped with the new 100 kW electric motor which, together with an immediately available torque of 260 Nm, ensures optimal performance in any load situation, allowing the driver to reach a maximum speed of 130 km/h. The example on show is also equipped with a 75 kWh battery that maintains the same maximum speed and torque, while guaranteeing the remarkable threshold of 350 km of maximum autonomy in the WLTP mixed cycle.
